Cognitive rehabilitation is intended for people who experience difficulties with thinking, remembering, planning, or concentrating—for example after a stroke, concussion, or another neurological condition that affects the ability to perform daily activities properly or independently.
Cognitive rehabilitation is intended for people who experience difficulties with thinking, remembering, planning, or concentrating—for example after a stroke, concussion, or another neurological condition that affects the ability to perform daily activities properly or independently.
We train specific cognitive skills and teach strategies to reduce the impact of these limitations. This may include using tools such as a whiteboard to keep track of daily tasks, cooking with a step-by-step plan, or techniques to better follow conversations. The aim is to help you regain more control over your daily life.
“After my stroke, I was afraid I would never be able to do my own grocery shopping again. But by practising with a step-by-step plan and using a checklist, I can do it again now. That gives me so much confidence!”
